Meet our master plumber and team!

Southside Plumbing was started in 2005 as a home based business in Highlands Ranch by Mark Friesen and his wife and office manager Liz Friesen.  Southside started off building custom homes, but as the recession slowed the home building industry, Southside began residential repair plumbing in 2007-2008.

Our team at Southside Plumbing is a close group of plumbers who are always striving to keep on top of the newest breakthroughs in the industry.  We don’t stay in the past, we are advancing towards the future and finding new ways to keep your home comfortable and safe.

Mark Friesen

Master Plumber, Owner

Mark Friesen, master plumber and owner, has over 25 years of experience in the plumbing industry. He completed a five year apprenticeship and worked as a journeyman plumber on commercial jobs until he achieved his master’s license and started Southside Plumbing.

Some of the projects he has worked on for other contractors include Skyridge Medical Center, Cherry Hills Community Church, and Park Meadows Mall. For Southside Plumbing he has built custom homes, run underground utility lines, and currently focuses on residential repair.

Mark is also a devoted husband and father. (It’s true! This is written by his wife of over 20 years.) He enjoys serving at his church, outdoor sports, and spending time with his children Elena, Christina, Micah, and Isaiah.

Due to popular demand, I have kept Mark’s experience from New Orleans on the site, click here to read more.

Miles McGough

Master plumber

Miles has worked for Southside Plumbing since he was 15 years old.  He started off as a helper during his summers in high school.  He enjoyed working with Mark and learning the plumbing trade and decided to pursue plumbing full time once he graduated from high school.  He climbed the ranks and went from a plumbing apprentice to a licensed residential plumber, to journeyman, and now is a licensed master plumber.

Miles enjoys fishing, hunting, reading, drawing, going to rodeos, hanging out with his family, and playing with his dog Maverick.

Kyle Taylor

Residential Plumber

Kyle is the newest addition to the Southside team.  Kyle is not new to construction.  He has spent time in landscaping, civil construction, and some light home construction.  He started off at Southside Plumbing as a plumber’s helper part time, but enjoyed the work. After 2 years as a full time apprentice, he is now a licensed residential plumber and works with Mark and Miles as he increases his knowledge of the trade and pursues his journeyman license.

Kyle enjoys camping, dirt biking, video games, and playing with his dog Scooter.
