Cleared kitchen drain

The master shower drain periodically backs up and the client has been attempting to clear it with liquid plumber. Southside Plumbing ran a drain cable down approximately 22 feet. A little bit of hair was pulled out, and the drain now seems to operate properly. The shower was ran continuously for 10 minutes without any slow draining.

Cleared out drain on right hand sink in master bathroom. Swapped handles between sinks in master bathroom, (cold handle was heavily corroded and broke). Homeowner contacting Delta for replacement. Pulled toilet in main floor bathroom for floor refinishing.

Replaced pop up assembly

The customer called because the toilet in the basement was not flushing properly. They have had continual experience of it draining slowly and taking a long time to fill up. The current toilet is a Glacier Bay. I advised them that a new toilet would be a good idea due to the style and the continued issues with the existing toilet. The client wants to pick out their own toilet. They will call back to reschedule and install.

The customer had recently purchased a new home. They went to turn on the sprinklers. They noticed that it was coming out of the back-flow. The back-flow had a crack. Southside plumbing purchased and installed a new 1 inch back-flow preventer, as well as the additional piping needed to make the connections. Parts and labor warranty for one year.

Replaced standard 50 gallon water heater with a new 50 gallon Bradford White High Recovery water heater.

Installed a fridge valve

Cleared a tub drain

Pulled kitchen sink ptrap to snake drain line, and ptrap was completely clogged. Cleared ptrap and tested sink after reassembly. Sink drained well upon testing.

Homeowner noticed a yellowing spot on the ceiling and wanted to see what was leaking. Everything appears to be operating correctly in the bathroom upstairs, but homeowner is curious if the tub overflow is leaking. Spoke and discussed I could not verify what was leaking or needing to be repaired without opening the ceiling. Said she may wait to open and address later on.

The customer had recently gotten a new washer and dryer. Once it was installed, they noticed that the cold valve was leaking. They wanted to replace both the hot and cold valves to the washing machine. Southside, plumbing, soldered, new valves and hooked up the washer, parts and labor warranty for one year.

Changed the height of the pop up assembly drain

The fridge line is tied off from the cold washing machine valve. A threaded wye fitting is used to split the fridge from the washing machine and the wye is leaking at the valve connection. The wire was removed and resealed using Teflon, pipe dope, and a new washer. A short section of plastic refrigeration tubing was replaced with copper. The handle on the cold valve had to be slightly modified in order to make it work with the wye fitting.

Installed a 50 gallon water heater and a pressure regulating valve

Cleared main line through clean out and jetted the line as well.

The customer called due to water coming out of the dishwasher standpipe under the kitchen sink. This issue occurred after running the garbage disposal. This morning, the hall bath also backed up and overflowed. Southside plumbing snaked through the kitchen drain. Removed several pieces of cloth from the drain. Southside plumbing filled and drained the kitchen sink several times. Also flushed the hall toilet many times. Everything is flowing smoothly.

Customer called about a leaking kitchen faucet. The braided hose to supply the sprayer head was leaking. Southside plumbing purchased and installed a new Delta kitchen faucet. Parts and labor warranty for one year.

Customer has a water heater with a leaking T and p valve. They also have an st12 expansion tank mounted on the side with water spraying out of the air valve when pressed. We will install a new high recovery water heater with expansion tank and pan drain.

Installed a knocker highline arc in the master bathroom.

Installed faucet and hot side emergency stop in the master bathroom.

Cleaned out the pop up assembly and p-traps in both sinks in the hall bath. Tested the sinks and they flow much better now.

Customer is selling the house. A home inspector noticed a cool round spot, on a thermal imager, under the 2nd floor hall bath. I came out and ran the tub and flushed the toilet. I visually inspected the ceiling, bathroom floors, and couldn’t find any physical or visual signs of a water leak. The only thing we can do to search further, would be to cut the drywall on the 1st floor ceiling and possibly the bathroom to look in between floors and walls. Right now, I see no signs that suggest cutting is necessary. A moisture meter was used and no reading above 6% was detected. We can always come back to cut the ceiling if you decide this is needed.
