Installed a new number 1 shutoff and pressure regulator valve on the mainline. Existing pressure was 100 psi. Now pressure is 70 psi. I also repiped the 3” vent pipe for the water heater due to a gap in the existing piping. The was no sediment trap on the gas line for the water heater so I also repiped the gas line to add a sediment trap and new gas flex. All work was tested for leaks and none were found.

The current house pressure exceeds code. There is no existing pressure regulator valve on the main line. We will install a new prv and repipe the mainline to accommodate the new valve. I set the house pressure to be 68 psi. I also removed the existing water heater and replaced with a new 50 gallon Bradford White. All connections were tested for either water or gas leaks and no leaks were detected. Customer has also joined the healthy home club.

Opened ceiling and wall in basement to locate leak in ceiling. Had to open up some framing and drywall for access. Identified leak in a burst PEX line. Cut out section and reconnected piping. Tested and recommended rerouting line after wall and ceiling are opened more by restoration company.

I poured 25gallons of water in the toilet the customer had concern about and I was not able to recreate the leak. I noticed a lot of urine around the toilet and we decided to have the customer clean it, put paper towels around it and see if they get wet from the toilet being flushed. The caulking around the base of the toilet seemed solid and firm. I replaced a cartridge in the upstairs bathroom.

The sink located in the master bathroom has sprung a leak on the flex hose. The flex hose is attached to the faucet by the manufacture. The faucet was replaced with a new unit from Moen. Southside Plumbing provided the faucet.

Bradford White Model #RG250T6N This water heater holds 50 gallons of water and produces 81 gallons of water in the first hour. Water heater code now requires water heaters to have an expansion tank. The expansion tank protects the water heater, but requires a full functioning pressure reducing valve to properly protect the water heater. A pressure regulator was also installed to protect the entire plumbing system. The pressure was set at 65-67 PSI

The water heater was repaired with parts that were on our truck. The heater was relit and the gas connections were tested. Southside Plumbing advised the client that the heater may have to be replaced sooner than later. Estimates to replace the heater were sent via email. The existing heater is a 50 gallon unit with 40,000 BTUs of heating ability & utilizes atmospheric venting.

The current fridge is broken and the technicians installing the new fridge will not hook it up without a valve box in the wall. The current water line is a copper tube coming from the kitchen sink cabinet. Southside Plumbing disconnected and abandoned the existing copper tubing. The valve box was installed in the wall behind the fridge with Pex piping feeding water to it.

The existing box has an 1 1/2” drain. It needs to have a 2” drain. I will cut into the 3” caste iron drain stack to install a new 3x2 sanitary tee and run a new drain for a new box. All necessary drains and vents, material, labor, and taxes are included in this estimate. **This estimate includes cutting in a sanitary tee on a caste iron drain stack. If the drain stack needs multiple fittings and other branch drains to be repaired or replaced, there would be additional charges. I came across some possible electrical issues. I would recommend calling D and J Enterprises @ 303-947-7218.

During a halo installation that was previously done, We noticed that the floor drain is running slow when the halo is running a regeneration cycle. Southside Plumbing came out today and ran a cable machine down the drain to free the blockage that is causing the slow drain. The blockage was flushed down the line with lots of water and the drain is now flowing properly.

After the first plumber tried to sell me some shady code requirements, Kyle was a refreshing breath of honesty. At the end of the day, he took his time to diagnose the problem and finally install a replacement water heater - all after the end of a normal day. It made for a long day for him, but I'm a very satisfied customer.
