Texted homeowner and gave him another referral going to Advanced Boiler, not sending estimate

I replaced a broken Roman tub cartridge.

Tested and identified leak on diverting cartridge. Replacement ordered and expected by 10/3

The customer said they had water on the floor in the basement. They dried it all up and I arrived after they dried up the floor. I am not able to recreate and leak of puddling. There isn’t any plumbing with active leaks anywhere near the original puddling. The basement window shows signs of water damage and feels like there was water behind the paint near the window. It is possible that the water came from outside. I recommend calling back when and if the water comes back. Don’t clean it up and allow us to see an active leak somewhere.

I carefully installed the device on their main water line, ensuring it was properly fitted and tested, providing them with peace of mind regarding water safety.

The washing machine is currently discharging into a line that is not trapped and is also too small for the fixtures using it. The line is currently serving the bathroom sink as well as the washing machine. In order to properly connect the washing machine, The fixture drain will have to be upsized to 2 inch pipe. The fixture drain is currently 1 1/2 inch pipe and there is no trap serving the washing machine. A p trap with a standpipe will also have to be installed for the washer to discharge into.

The hot water line throughout the house is equipped with a recirculation return line that enables the occupants of the home to receive instant hot water at any faucet in the home. On the previous invoice, it was listed that the recirculation pump does not have a timer and was constantly running 24/7. With this pump running all the time, The lifespan of the copper piping used in the hot water and recirculation line is greatly reduced. On the last visit here, Southside Plumbing unplugged the pump to prevent any further damage However, the inside of the line already has damage done. The recirculating line was already repaired above the kitchen and now a leak has started behind the refrigerator. These leaks are a result of the damage done by the recirculation of water through the lines. The bad section of piping can be repaired using Pex piping to replace the bad section of pipe. The piping being replaced is going through the floor into a wall space above.

It is unclear exactly where the leak is coming from and Southside Plumbing will search for the leak to diagnose the issue. A leak was found on the Recirculation line for the instant hot water system. The recirculation pump does not appear to have a timer and is most likely running 24/7. With the extended usage and flow of the pipe, the inner wall of the pipe has started to wear out and is causing little pinhole leaks on the hot water line and recirculation line. The pump was turned off to prevent any further damage to the inside of the pipe, however, the pipe is still internally damaged. From where are the drywall was opened to discover the leak, approximately 3 1/2 feet of half-inch copper pipe was replaced on the recirculation line.
