Replaced a fridge valve.
Customer will call us once they are ready to do the project. They may be buying laminate flooring before we install the toilets
Rebuilt American Standard toilet tank with all new parts in tank and tank to bowl.
I pushed the reset button on the garbage disposal and it worked. Customer will call us if the issue reoccurs.
Installed a flood stop above the water heater to prevent any future flooding. Also put on a new end rod. New piping in connections to the water heater.
Put in new shower cartridge to upstairs bathroom, caulked and secured master free standing tub
Installed new sump pump and check valves, tested OK
Purchased and installed a toilet on the main floor, and in the upstairs hallway bathroom.
The water pressure throughout the home is experiencing inconsistencies, and we believe the pressure regulator may need to be replaced. Southside Plumbing tested the pressure using the hose bib in the front yard. At first, the static pressure was around 120 psi. When fixtures were ran inside the home the pressure dropped all the way to 30 psi. This is indicating that the pressure regulator has failed and needs to be replaced. Southside Plumbing replaced the pressure regulator and set the pressure to approximately 72 psi.
Southside Plumbing disconnected the softener and hauled it out for disposal. The waterlines were reconnected, using copper pipe and fittings.
Water was found under the kitchen sink and at first it was believed there was a crack in the dishwasher drain pipe. The leak was coming from the dishwasher drain however it was not cracked. The dishwasher was backing up due to a clogged P-trap. The dishwasher discharges into an open standpipe underneath the sink. The water ran over the top of the standpipe and into the cabinet causing the water in the cabinet. Southside Plumbing cut out and replaced the P-trap and also ran a cable down the line for a short section. The dishwasher was tested out after the repiping and appears to be working properly.
Southside Plumbing replaced multiple old shutoff valves for various fixtures. The master bathroom faucets were replaced with new units provided by the homeowner. Shutoff valves were replaced under the upper hall bathroom sink. A toilet stop was replaced on the main floor also.
Rebuild the kohler toilet in the master bath. After all work was finished I tested for leaks and proper working order. All is dry and working as it should.
Customer has a leaking washing machine valve. I recommend replacing the box. The existing valves are original to the house and the packing has failed.
The master bath tub/shower valve and the hall bath tub/shower are not leaking. The master bath shower is flowing constantly. I recommend rebuilding both valves to stop the leak. I also recommend rebuilding the master lav faucet to stop the drip. The main hot and cold shutoffs don’t hold either and the mixing valve is corroded and shows signs of a past leak. **See pics and estimates** We rebuilt the 2 tub/shower valves to stop the leak. Also rebuilt the master bath sink faucet. All faucets/valves no longer drip and now, shut off completely. Doing the main shutoff valves and the mixing valve will allow a discount of $500.
Repaired all toilets except for one in the women’s restroom. We need to come back and put a new diaphragm on.
Verified tub/shower cartridge was installed properly. Installed faceplate and handle. Corrected and extended copper piping out from wall for tub spout install. Caulked trim to tile wall.
Southside Plumbing provided and installed new lavatory sinks in the upstairs bathrooms. The master bathroom has dual “Jack and Jill” sinks and the other hall bathroom has a single lav. New faucets were also purchased and installed on the new sinks. The new faucets are the Cursiva series from Kohler and feature a 4 inch spread with a single handle. New p-traps were used to connect to the existing drain.

Reset two toilets
Southside Plumbing was out today to take a look at the water heater. Upon arrival, the water heater was showing codes for a pressure switch or a temperature control switch that is stuck open. After consulting technical support for further information, tech support suggested checking the vent lines and pressure switch tubing for proper flow. The lines all seemed to be flowing properly. Tech-support also suggested that there could be an obstruction or partial obstruction of the vent line. This can happen due to the freezing over of the vent termination in cold weather. After running through a few cycles with the error code, The heater returned to normal standby operation. Pricing was given for repairs however the homeowner would like to wait and see what happens from here.
Replaced popup assembly and p-trap on sink in front bathroom.
Pulled (2) toilets and (1) pedestal lavatory. Set toilets in garage for reinstall-install. Set faucet and pop-up assembly with toilets in garage.
Water Softener Repairs: During a maintenance check on the water softener, I identified a faulty timer affecting the regeneration cycle. I replaced the malfunctioning timer, recalibrated the settings, and tested the system thoroughly, ensuring it provided consistent soft water and preventing mineral buildup in the plumbing fixtures.
Pressure Reduction Valve Installation: High water pressure was causing wear and leaks in the plumbing system. To prevent further damage, I installed a pressure reduction valve (PRV) to regulate the water flow, ensuring consistent and safe pressure throughout the home and protecting the plumbing fixtures.
The plumber, Chris, was friendly and explained the likely charge before he began to work. He steered us in the right direction to get a part for a brand he didn't carry but the main problem, a clogged drain, is fixed. Hopefully, we can install the popup assembly when it arrives next week. Otherwise, we'll definitely call Chris again!

I've needed Southside three times in the past two years...for a new water heater (they had the best price), a new shut off valve for my sprinklers, and most recently to fix a phantom noise in one of my toilets. After nearly three hours of troubleshooting, Kyle was able to find a small plastic/ceramic thing was stuck in the water line and remove it. Problem solved. Would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

Chris arrived soon after I made an emergency call to fix a leak at the main valve in the basement. Fortunately he was able to stop it, as it’s an older valve and very risky to tighten. And I don’t have an ark. I appreciate his quick response!
