Gave estimates for recommended repairs
Adjusted, tightened, and tested widespread faucet in main floor hall bath.
Replaced kitchen sink faucet and recalled all surrounding joints and covers on countertop for sink.
Tightened up a bleeder cap on the irrigation line
The pressure in the home is not sufficient enough to properly run the sprinkler system. The pressure is at 60PSI on the front hose Bibb. The pressure drops to 18-22PSI whenever the sprinklers are ran. At first, it was believed that the regulator was bad. The current regulator was installed Feb 2023 by Southside Plumbing. A different regulator was installed today and the same results occurred. The pressure could not be raised over 60 with a regulator on the main. The regulator was removed all together and the pressure is now at 62PSI in the same location. Without the regulator, the pressure drops to about 45-50 PSI when the sprinklers are ran. The home was left without a regulator installed.
Scoped drain lines from basement bathroom in chapel. All lines clear from bathroom group and out at least 40’. Identified a fitting with water pooling and potentially causing blockages down the road. Will return to camera with facilities and do a line location for the potential repair of the pooling area.
The kitchen drain line was repaired due to cracks on the drain causing damage in the basement. The drain was cracked just below the floor. The back of the cabinet had to be cut out to access the tees behind the kitchen sink. The piping was replaced down to the basement. The abs piping was replaced with pvc plastic.
Customer called about a broken backflow. Southside Plumbing inspected the backflow and noted that the internal parts should be replaced. Spoke to the customer and opted to replace just the internal parts. Southside Plumbing replaced the parts. Southside Plumbing will warranty parts and labor for one year.
Southside Plumbing replaced multiple toilets in the building. The toilet that was located in the downstairs bathroom was replaced using an elongated bowl. The upstairs toilets were replaced with round bowls. Toilets were installed with new wax rings, new bolts, and shimming/caulking as needed.
Installed a new 50 gallon gas water heater with expansion tank and pan. We need to call in the inspection and notify the customer when the inspection is. Greg said any day works for him.
Estimates were sent via email for various items
The master tub was previously worked on by Southside Plumbing. New Delta cartridges were installed in the tub faucet. The faucet is still dripping and needs to be replaced. The cartridges were swapped again today and the leak was slowed down but is still leaking. We are currently looking into replacement/remodel options.
Replaced defective Moen cartridge
Installation of a 3/4" Pressure Reducing Valve. - Comes with modification of copper piping, soldering and adapters if needed for install. - Set pressure approximately 65 psi. *High pressure can damage the plumbing system. Toilet, faucets, and most appliances void the warranty of their product if the house pressure is over 70 psi. Also replaced Delta shower cartridge in upstairs master bathroom.
Put inskirted tub, and soldered in new shower valve. We need to call and come back for two oval bathroom porcelain sinks. Also provide brush nickel to handled faucets.
Changed out shower Moen cartridge in upstairs hall bath.
Cleared sewer, drain out, and repaired gas leak near the furnace.
Replaced flammable vapor sensor on Kenmore water heater. Unclogged upstairs hall bath tub/shower drain and cleaned out hair guard.
Cleared right hand urinal in men’s restroom
Installed a new tub shoe, the previous one had a hair line crack and was leaking every time the tub was turned on. There were streak marks on the combination whye fitting joining the tub and the shower. I left the shower running for an hour and a half and I wasn’t able to recreate a leak. I left the insulation off to dry the area.
Replaced a fridge valve.
Customer will call us once they are ready to do the project. They may be buying laminate flooring before we install the toilets
Rebuilt American Standard toilet tank with all new parts in tank and tank to bowl.
I pushed the reset button on the garbage disposal and it worked. Customer will call us if the issue reoccurs.
Installed a flood stop above the water heater to prevent any future flooding. Also put on a new end rod. New piping in connections to the water heater.
The plumber, Chris, was friendly and explained the likely charge before he began to work. He steered us in the right direction to get a part for a brand he didn't carry but the main problem, a clogged drain, is fixed. Hopefully, we can install the popup assembly when it arrives next week. Otherwise, we'll definitely call Chris again!

I've needed Southside three times in the past two years...for a new water heater (they had the best price), a new shut off valve for my sprinklers, and most recently to fix a phantom noise in one of my toilets. After nearly three hours of troubleshooting, Kyle was able to find a small plastic/ceramic thing was stuck in the water line and remove it. Problem solved. Would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

Chris arrived soon after I made an emergency call to fix a leak at the main valve in the basement. Fortunately he was able to stop it, as it’s an older valve and very risky to tighten. And I don’t have an ark. I appreciate his quick response!

Just moved into a new house. Had a honey-do list of problems and a new kitchen sink to install. Trevor was incredibly kind and knowledgeable.
