Installed shower pan SSP provided, and roughed in (2) shower valves and (2) outlets.

Changed out a cartridge on the cold side faucet in the master bathroom.

Pulled toilet to use cable machine, and Jetter to dislodge mainline.

We came out for a major leak in a home that is not occupied at the moment. This is what caused so much damage. I found the existing ice maker line was ran in the attic. This line froze and burst. There is a lot of water damage and destruction due to water leaking throughout the ceiling above the kitchen area. The space needs to be cleaned to provide a safe working area. Once the damage/debris has been cleared, we will be able to return to repair the ice maker line. The water is turned off at the moment and the existing ice maker valve doesn’t work. I am unable to isolate the burst pipe to see if there are any other leaks. I recommend running a new ice maker line in the ceiling of the basement to the wall or floor behind the refrigerator. **See Estimate** After the repair is made to the ice maker line, we will be able to look for more leaks.

Southside Plumbing was called out today to evaluate a leak in the ceiling of the garage. The leak is coming into the garage of 24A. Located above the leaky area is the hall bathroom located in unit 24C. Access was cut into the garage ceiling of 24A for visual inspection of the pipes. After running water in the tub located in unit 24C, We noted that there is a leak coming from the overflow connected to the bathtub. The overflow gasket was replaced and the overflow is operating normally.

Flushing the existing water heater along with the full year payment of the Healthy Home Club Membership Customer prepaid for the full year of the Healthy Home Club Membership.

The existing water heater installation does not have an expansion tank. Southside Plumbing will add the expansion tank to the incoming cold side of the heater. A new flex connector will have to be installed in order to make the proper bend. All connections will be made using soldered pipe and fittings.

Estimate to replace existing tankless water heater was sent via email.

Broke up concrete and cut drywall to reroute kitchen drain line to the main with new PVC piping.

Southside Plumbing installed 3 new toilets from Kohler. The toilets are white elongated models from Kohler Highline series. New wax rings, bolts, shutoff valves, and supply lines were used to install the toilets. The old toilets were loaded up and hauled away by Southside Plumbing.

Customer had a couple of issues dealing with a slow drain in the powder bath toilet. There were some smells around the upstairs bathroom. I was unable to find any odors or causes for odors. I gave some estimates for some recommendations of things that can help their issues. See estimates

Replaced 50 gallon water heater with direct replacement Bradford White.

Bradford White Model #RG250T6N This water heater holds 50 gallons of water and produces 81 gallons of water in the first hour. Water heater code now requires water heaters to have an expansion tank. The expansion tank protects the water heater, but requires a full functioning pressure reducing valve to properly protect the water heater.

The ceiling in the living room had caved in due to a water leak. A burst pipe was found leading to the upstairs guest shower. The pipe had burst due to freezing and this was the source of the leak. The piping was replaced all the way up to just below the shower valve. The piping material was switched from copper to PEX to help prevent any bursts in the future. The PEX piping will not prevent the freezing however it has a tendency to expand and retract when the pipe freezes/thaws.

Replaced a pressure reducing valve and set the pressure to 68psi. Replaced the compression stops underneath the kitchen sink.

Customer had slow leaking number one valve, he was looking for an estimate. Hopefully he will call us once he is ready to move forward with the work

Replaced the fuel sensor for the water heater.

Customer has water dripping from the ceiling in the garage. We looked upstairs to find water on the floor, around the guest bath toilet. I found the water was dripping through the tank to bowl bolt holes. The tank was in bad shape. I gave multiple estimates and wound up rebuilding the tank. 1 year warranty on the repair. Customer also has high water pressure so gave an estimate to install a new pressure regulator valve.

The flex hose connecting the sprayer nozzle on the kitchen faucet was a little bit loose. This was causing water to run back down through the neck of the faucet and into the cabinet below. Southside Plumbing removed the hose and then reattached it with thread locker applied to the threads. With the flex hose properly fastened all the way, There is no longer a leak. The thread locker should prevent this from happening again in the future.

The lavatory drain line in the basement is backing up and Southside Plumbing attempted to clear the line with a drain cable. After multiple attempts were made, The line would only go up rather than go down. The cloud that is causing the issue is further down the line and the line had to be cut open in order to force the cable downstream. After forcing the cable down and reattaching the pipe, The fixture was tested and found to be flowing properly.

Centennial water district turned off the water turned off water due to lack of funds on payment.

Customer had an appliance guy out and the shut off valve for the dishwasher was broken. I replaced the valve and tested for leaks. All is dry

Replaced dual angle stop under kitchen sink and cleaned out all the supply lines for the kitchen sink faucet.

The existing water heater is no longer heating the water. Due to the age of the water heater being 10+ years, we don’t attempt to make repairs. Instead, we replace them. I recommend replacing the water heater. To due this, a permit is required by the county. Southside plumbing can pull the the permit for an additional $275 through Jefferson County’s website. See estimate for recommended work. The estimate includes all work necessary to install the new water heater and pass inspection. It also comes with a 2 year Southside Plumbing warranty and 6 year manufacturer warranty on parts. An additional warranty can be purchased to make the manufacturer warranty last 10 years total, if you would like longer coverage. The static water pressure was also tested to make sure we can install the new water heater properly. Code requires house pressure to be less than 80 psi. The pressure was tested to be about 90 psi. There has been a sewer gas smell noted in 2 different areas. The first area is the kitchen sink and the client noted the smell is most noticeable when the dishwasher drains. The other area is the laundry room in the basement and the smell is worse in this area when the washer drains. The kitchen sink has a Studor vent that is approximately 12-14 years old. When inspecting the Studor vent it appears the internal parts are sticking and most likely letting sewer gas out. The Studor vent was replaced. In the laundry room located in the basement, we found the floor drain has a plastic plug to cover the clean out opening. The plug is loose fitting and we believe there is sewer gas escaping from the plug. Teflon was used to make a better seal around the plug and this should prevent the entrance of sewer gas into the room.
